Looking Through the New Doors

Greetings from India! Nice, warm, sunny, spicy and colourful India!

Last time I wrote to you, I spoke about the new doors for 2009 and new chapters in my life. It was a season of pain and change, yet experiencing God's Hand upon my life. Praise God, that this was also a time when I experienced the love of God through the support and friendship of many friends. I had the doors with different labels on them before me but I had no clue where these led or what lay on the other side. As I took one step at a time, God has been filling me with His joy and a deep sense of peace as to where He is leading me.

The first blessing was being able to spend a typical Kiwi Christmas with people I love dearly - Paddy and Millie Bradford in Waitara.

Of course, then there has been the tremendous blessing of being with my mom whom I love dearly too, and spending some good time with her and enjoying doing nothing in particular.

My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour! My God takes care of every detail in my life. I was praying so hard for a job that I would like and that is within the Catholic Church. I did not want to take up a job just for the sake of money or just to pay the bills. I wanted a job that is people oriented and service oriented. I wanted a job that gives me flexibility to carry on my other missionary work. I got just that and ....... I am thrilled to bits or to use Kiwi language - stoked! :-)

I have got a job as the Season for Growth Trainer / Coordinator. This would involve me being trained to help others get over grief in their lives and then to train others to do the same. I will be working with children and adults. The grief could be due to death of a loved one, separation or divorce, etc. The flexible hours and the fact that it is only 20 hours a week are perfectly apt for me to pursue the Launch Out Programme as well as continue with some other ministries such as the prison ministry, youth work, etc. Thanks to technology, I had my interview on skype! Fancy that! I met someone who I had not met in my 6 years in Wellington for the first time on skype while I was in India. :-) God does work in mysterious ways and is always faithful to those whom He chooses and calls.

I am so glad to be able to remain in Wellington and to continue to work in and for the Archdiocese of Wellington, and I am so happy that I can continue to be of service to God and the people of the Archdiocese, .

I will be back in Wellington on the 12th of February.
